About Dr. Emmet Byrne

Dr Emmett Byrne is a general practitioner based in Dublin. After leaving school Emmett completed a degree in Electronic Engineering and pursued a career as a professional rugby player with Leinster Rugby for 11 years, playing 9 times for the Irish national team. Post rugby Emmett attended RCSI and completed the TCD/HSE Specialist training programme in General Practice.

In addition to General Practice Emmett works in ExWell – the exercise and social intervention programme for chronic disease based in Tallaght, linked with Tallaght University Hospital. He is also a qualified strength and conditioning specialist and has a special interest in preventative medicine. He is currently completing an advanced fellowship in metabolic and functional medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
