Niall Boylan spoke to Leo Quinlan. His father Pat was an Irish Army officer who commanded the Irish UN force that fought at the Siege of Jadotville in Katanga in 1961. He led the contingent of 155 men into Jadotville in 1961 as part of a UN mission only to be attacked by secessionist Katangese forces and foreign mercenaries.
