Supporters say it’s a common sense, life saving policy. After all, once you’ve passed away, your organs could help save multiple lives.

But not everyone sees it that way.

Critics argue the system crosses a line, raising concerns about bodily autonomy, consent, and government overreach. For some, it’s not about organ donation itself, but the idea that the State assumes consent unless you say otherwise.
